What should I do when my child is absent?
If your child is absent, please call or send an email of explanation even if you have not visited the doctor. All absences should be documented. If a child becomes ill or is injured during the school day, the nurse will contact the family.
It is therefore extremely important to make sure that the BLUE emergency card is filled out with correct information. You will receive this card at the beginning of every school year and asked to complete it and return it to your teacher promptly. If the information changes throughout the school year, please update the school office.

What is ICT?
Collaborative team teaching or ICT classes pair a general education and special education teacher in a classroom that has up to 40 percent children with IEP's. Both sets of students benefit from the smaller student to teacher ratio.
How do I start the Individualized Education Program (IEP) process?
Talk to your child's teachers and care providers. They can share information about how your child is doing in school and you can share information about how your child is doing at home.
Before referring a child for special education services, families, teachers, and child care providers should try different strategies to help. Together, adults can collect information, use and monitor supports, and determine next steps.
For an in depth step by step process visit the DOE online:
