Hello Parents and Guardians,
To ensure scholars can achieve their highest potential we are looking forward to a productive partnership with you. We believe that it is everyone’s responsibility to empower children to be creative and to use their intellectual and decision-making skills to become academically, socially, physically and emotionally successful and responsible.
With that in mind, you are invited to be an active participant at PS 38. Whether you are a classroom volunteer, a member of the Parent Association, a special event participant or just a donor, you are encouraged to be involved! Research on schools clearly demonstrates that parent participation in their child’s school coincides with a greater likelihood of academic success for their child. Therefore, a strong partnership with families will make all the difference in your child’s academic success.
It is our desire to keep you informed of all that is taking place at PS 38. Classroom and school events, curriculum topics and teacher contact information will be sent to you through the weekly homework sheet and monthly calendars. These documents can also be found on our school’s web page along with information about our teachers, staff and community based partners.
If you have questions or concerns that arise at any time, please do not hesitate to reach out to your child’s teacher, our Parent Coordinator, Mr. Patino or myself. I look forward to having a long and rewarding relationship with you and your family.
